The chairman of Djibouti Ports Authority, Mr.Abubakar Omar Hadi has welcomed a Somaliland delegation led by foreign minister Hon. Dr.Issa Keyd, who was accompanied by his defense counterpart Mr. Abdiqani Fareed, Somaliland’s ambassador to Djibouti H.E Abdifatah Saeed Ahmed and Central Bank governor Mr.Ali Abdillahi Dahir.
The Somaliland government delegation was on a fact finding mission to see progress made by Djibouti. The delegation toured the Port of Djibouti and the excise duty free zones.
The Port’s chief informed the delegation about the strides Djibouti has made over the years to improve infrastructure of the port and upgrading to the latest technology. The Somaliland delegation winded up their tour of duty in Djibouti yesterday after spending a week engaging with top government officials.
Somaliland’s government foreign policy always puts much emphasis on nurturing good relationship with her neighbors.
