The training was organized by the PFM Reform Coordination Unit and is part of continues effort to capacitate and upskill the senior government officials, to enable them the smooth implementation of PFM Reform. The thematic areas of the two-week training include: Leadership, Change Management, and Performance Evaluation. The training was practical one, roles plays, group work and simulation activities were incorporated.
During the closing ceremony, the Minister of Finance underlined the importance and commitment to fully implement PFM Reforms in the Ministry of Finance, the Minister highlighted that the Departmental Directors are the interlocutors between the senior management and the staff, thus their role is very crucial for the implementation of the PFM Reform.
During the closing ceremony, the Minister of Finance awarded certificates to the participants of the Training.
The overall vision of the PFM is to “To achieve the highest possible efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the allocation, management and use of public finances to meet Somaliland’s priorities and commitments under the NDPII and Vision 2030”s.
