Somaliland government officials consisting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Planning, Presidency, Treasury, the mayor of Berbera, and ambassador to the United Arab Emirates currently in the UAE on a working visit met with Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
Somaliland officials during the meeting with the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, discussed ways to accelerate and promote investment in Somaliland, the ruler of RAK is a board members of the “Al Jabri” is considered one of the leading companies specializing in the import business of livestock, as well as the Ras al Khaimah Gas Company LLC (RAKGAS) entered a production sharing Agreement (PSA) with government of Somaliland to explore and develop the oil and gas industry, both company are operating in the country.
Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, with the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah told the visiting delegation the recently signed DP World port agreement paves way for Ras Al Khaimah based companies to invest country in the banking sector, energy, minerals, health and education.
Lastly, Dr. Saad Ali Shire on behalf of the delegation thanked the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah for his hospitality.
