The Head of Somaliland Police force Brigadier General Abdullah Fadal Iman presided over the closing of a seven day operational requirements training workshop for senior officers and the heads of police stations in Hargeisa today at the national police headquarters.
Colonel Feisal one of the providing the training said , “The training we provided to the officers participating in the workshop included the standard operating procedures will ensure that this community based police service will be effective, accountable, transparent and, rights-oriented and better able to prioritize attention to women’s and youth matters.
Colonel Feisal added, “Our activities during the training included providing strategic advice and training to the police force’s leadership to ensure understanding of and commitment to the operational requirements of the police force, and selecting and training more than officers from across the national police force – including station heads – in a range of technical disciplines.
Brigadier General Abdullah Fadal Iman speaking during the closing of the one week workshop said, “The purpose of these trainings to bring about institutional change and develop necessary operational capabilities Somaliland Police Force .Such trainings are central have been the formation and development of the police forces.
