H.E President Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud Silanyo today joined fellow citizens in performing the rain seeking prayers in Burao, Togdheer region.
Prayer was performed by a large number of community in all parts of the Somaliland regions this morning in practicing of traditions of Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) whenever rain is delayed, praying that Allah Al-mighty will bring rains to all parts of the country.
The prayer was performed in the Sports Stadiums of big cities including Hargeisa, Berbera , Burao as well as in other part of the country.
The people come out in large after President Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo called on Somaliland people to perform Istesqa (Rain Seeking) Prayer and ask Allah for rain, during his meeting with clergymen last week.
President in his address to Community in Alamsey Stadium after performing the rain seeking prayers urged people to forgive each other.
The Head of the State continued his busy schedule meet-the-people tour met with top Togdheer regional administration officials and ministerial coordinators.The aim of the meeting was to follow the present state of the region.
President Silanyo also visited registration polling stations, and was briefed by the officers on the ongoing voters registration process.
