H.E President Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud Silanyo on Friday issued a Presidential Decree # JSL/M/XILQ/249/1-3973/04201 in which he relieves the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications and the commander of Somaliland Coast Guards of their duties with immediate effect.
The Presidential Directive read as Follows:-

To: Hon, Mohamed Jama Abgaal, Former Minister of Posts and Telecommunications
Cc: Deputy Minister of Posts and Telecommunications
Hon,
When I saw that you could not fulfill my instructions given; I, decided to relieve you of all your duties as the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications of the Republic of Somaliland.
Therefore, i hope that you shall in a smooth way assign your former duties to the current Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication, Hon. Osman Garad Soofe, who shall temporarily be in charge until another person is appointed.
