Somaliland:Ongoing Conciliatory talks between Government and Opposition to Resume on Tuesday

The ongoing talks between the government and opposition political organizations on how to resolve and find a solution on the outstanding issues on the timeline of the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections failed to take place today as expected.

Hon Abdurrahman Mohamed Abdullah Cirro , the speaker of national assembly and also the chairman of WADDANI and Hon Feisal Ali Warabe the Chairman of UCID speaking to the press during a joint press conference said , “The conciliatory talks between the government and opposition which were due to resume today (Monday) were postponed after the Vice President request us to adjourn the talks until tomorrow (Tuesday).

Somaliland Vice President Abdurrahman Abdullah Ismael “Saylic last week announced that the ongoing consultative meeting between the government and the three political organizations resume shall next Monday after the concerned parties failed to reach a settlement.
