The Somaliland Minister of Sports, Youth &tourism Hon Ali Said Raygal has announced   yet postponement of the national youth tournament which was scheduled to kick-off on the 15th of this month but have now been rescheduled for the 2nd of June 2013.

Hon Ali Said Raygal speaking during a press conference said the reschedulement of the national youth tournament was the result of somalilanders living in the diaspora who requested the youth tournament to be held during the holidays.

“I want to assure the public the that the postponement was not prompted by the threats issued by residents of Ahmed Dhagah who are irritated  by the recent killing of four youngsters during the recent riots broke out on the aftermath of the last November local election”, said the sports minister.

Unconfirmed reports indicated that the postponement came about after tribal elders and government ministers held closed door meeting’s this week in which both sides agreed to the reschedulement considering state of affairs in Ahmed Dhagah which is thought to be violate after the recent deaths of the youngsters.

  1. i am vagarious why the favorite sports of tournament is postponed in third terms its make the youth to loss morale of sporting while prepared 4 the long period . i am asking the government to improve its schedules of the events for right time .also to make serious of supporting and give allowance disturbance to the team in the regions while preprepared for next time thats will make much apologize to the youth and uplifting sport events in somaliland and to be recognized by fifa or Olympic boards.

  2. Why don't daroods have something nice to see? I look at the comments and 99% of those written by daroods are either insults, tribal or just pure unslamic. Every article i go to i see the darood mentality where thy insult people. When we take about the south, they insult them and insult mogadisho ( which is home to millions of daroodS). When we talk about somaliland, they insult issaqs and insult hargaisa. When we talk about djabouti, they insult the issa and djabouti.

    Why are darood so hateful when they are the weakest people in the horn in-terms of economy and militaristic power.

    • It is because darood people have links to Jewish tribes of isreal hence they have their characteristic . Also lets not forget the founder the darood tribe Al-Jabarti is a Notorious shoe thieve who stole a pair of sandals from a mosque in Yemen while others where praying duhur prayer hence he escaped to issaqs and the issaqs fed him and treated him like one of them, thousands of years look at the action of his children.

  5. These kids are now living in a tribal enclave that follows some doctrine as North Korea's. They are being held hostage and against their will. They have been denied the right to even play basic sports because of the mess and lack of resources, infrastructure, organization and mayhem the separatists have created.

    They should take part in the real Somali tournament that's currently underway in Mogadishu in real facilities. The separatists could not even roll a basic artificial grass in 21 years while Mogadishu did it in 21 months. Very sad.

    My advise for the youth is not to take the separatist and their tribal enclave serious and take part in all sports whether in Bosaaso, Las Anod, Djibouti, Borama, Mogadishu or Jigjiga.

    The Gambela grievers are getting more desperate each day…now they entertaining the kids with even more outrightous lies after they failed they using the tiny one suburb Ahmed Dhahah as an excuse.

      Somalila might have been able to laid an artificial turf in a soccer stadium in 21 months but you're ignoring the fact that, Somalia is least developed country in the dark content. You can't feed the entire population of Somalia a roll of used artificial grass.   20. They need to consider aspect inside actual Somali rivalry which is at this time constant throughout Mogadishu throughout actual functions.
