Ministry of Resettlement and rehabilitation, continues to distribute aid in Somaliland to newly arrived Yemeni refugees escaping the deteriorating security situation in Yemen and less fortunate families.
Somaliland Government officials today in Hargeisa distributed food rations to Yemeni refugees fleeing the ongoing Saudi Arabia led war and less fortunate families.
The Minister of resettlement and Rehabilitation Hon Ali Said Raygal oversaw the distribution of the food ration to more 905 Yemeni refugee’s families and 145 less fortunate families.
Hon Ali Said Raygal speaking at the food distribution venue said, “Ordinary Yemeni refugees families are struggling to access health care, water, food and fuel –commodities that are basic requirements for their survival and it’s the duty of all Muslims to help their brothers in time of need.
The Minister of resettlement and Rehabilitation added, “We expect the number of Yemeni refugees arriving in the country to surge in the coming weeks.
“We do our utmost to deliver life-saving assistance and protection services, to the extent possible,” said the deputy Minister of interior in charge of regional administrations
The assistant Minister in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Hon Abdiwahid Abdiqadar Abdurrahman speaking at the venue said, “The current government led by H.E President Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud “Silanyo” is committed to extend its assistances to Yemeni refugees fleeing the conflict in that country and also the less fortunate.
