London-Hon Mohamed Sheik Aden Elmi, the Minister of Constitution Affairs and Coordination of Assemblies this week addressed members of the British Parliament.
In his speech, the honorable minister of Constitution Affairs briefed the British parliamentarians of the overall situation of the country and at the same time reminded of the long standing relations between the two sisterly countries.
He also conveyed a message from the Somaliland’s parliamentary speaker to the British Parliament, on the need to strengthen the working relationship between the two parliaments and the strengthening of longstanding relations between the two nations.
The Somaliland delegation was led by Hon Mohamed Sheik Aden Elmi, the Minister of Constitution Affairs and Coordination of Assemblies, and included Hon Ahmed Hassan Aden, the Attorney General, Dr. Edna Aden Ismail, Somaliland Special envoy for Somaliland and Somalia talks and Mr. Abdikarim Abdi Aden, adviser to the minister of constitutional affairs.
The Speaker of Somaliland Parliament is expected to visit the United Kingdom in the near future on the official invitation from his British counterpart.
