Hon Saad Ali Shire, the Minister of Finance & Economic Development on Tuesday meet with representatives of the World Bank PFM Reform Program Mission came to review the progress of the Somaliland PFM Program
The two sides discussed a range of issues regarding the ongoing World Bank supported Public Financial Management (PFM) reforms and anticipated interventions on enhancing domestic revenue mobilization in Somaliland.
The Finance minister speaking to reporters moments after emerging from the closed-door meeting said, “I and the visiting World Bank delegation had a very productive meeting in which we discussed a wide range of issues, among them World Bank’s funded PFM Capacity Strengthening Project, and they also had the opportunity to meet with the various departments of the ministry to see for themselves the ongoing progress of which they were satisfied.
“I would like to use this opportunity by thanking the World Bank and the donor community for supporting us in raising our financial resources and to ask them to continue their support and promote the good governance project”, he said.
