The Minister of Reconciliation and the Development for Eastern regions Hon Ali Mahmoud Ahmed (Ali Sandule) today presided over the groundbreaking ceremony of four new Ministerial buildings in Las Anod, Sool Region.
Hon Ali Mahmoud Ahmed (Ali Sandule), the Minister of Reconciliation and the Development for Eastern regions speaking during the ground breaking ceremony said, “I would first of all like to use this opportunity to thank two citizens through their generosity donated the land which the four regional ministerial headquarters premises shall be constructed and secondly, I thank President Silanyo and his government for initiating much needed development projects in the eastern regions.
Hon Ali Sandule added, “The new ministerial buildings once upon completion will enable the facilitation of better delivery of services and the government and to implement the state’s principles and policies and related laws.
The staff of four ministries currently housed in privately owned buildings which the government pays the monthly rent from the budget allotted to the ministries, money which would have been used to for other vital purposes.
The proposed new premises will house the Ministry of Reconciliation and the Development for Eastern regions, Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Environment.
The current Somaliland government has a significantly made immense contribution to the promotion of an enduring national peace founded on justice, self-determination, diversity, and harmony, achieved through cooperative and non-violent means in the eastern regions of the country.
