11 persons perished while 13 others were seriously injured in a shocking road accident that occurred on Thursday night.
The head-on accident involving a public transport vehicle “Noah “and lorry occurred in the Eastern fringes of Berbera Town.
Major Faisal Ibrahim Yusuf “ Faisal Taygaro” the Sahil region traffic police commandant speaking to the press said, “ The gruesome Road accident occurred near the Eastern road control in Berbera involved a heavy-duty vehicle ferrying Khat and a public utility vehicle transporting Ethiopian immigrants headed to the port city of Bosaso in Puntland state of Somalia.
The Sahil region traffic police commandant added that the 11 persons who perished in the gruesome accident were all Ethiopian nationals and their bodies are at Berbera hospital mortuary while the 13 injured persons are currently undergoing treatment.
