The Borama regional hospital was the lucky recipient of four medical oxygen cylinders from a youth group.
The group named #Borama-a-Dollar raised funds through the programme of donating to the cause were able to acquire the dire needed medical facility and donated it to the Borama hospital.
While receiving the aid from the group the Director-General of the Health Ministry noted that the gesture and efforts by the youth of Borama should be emulated.
“I would like the gesture to be emulated by the youth in other regions of the nation,” said Dr. Mohamed Abdi Hergeeye as he thanked the group.
He equally underscored the importance of the oxygen appliances in easing perspiration by patients whose airwave brings them difficulties in breathing.
The DG and the chair of the group both underpinned the importance of the timing of the alms.
As Dr. Mohamed noted the justifiable need of the appliances during this time that the pandemic coronavirus is sweeping the world, the group’s chair Khadra Omar Samriye quipped that it was precisely the pandemic issue that was the catalyst factor which motivated and pepped them to make the move on the gesture.
