The Vice President H.E. Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail (Saili’i) toured the renowned Amoud University and inspected the facilities at the campus on Monday.
The VP who is on an official tour in the Awdal region was accompanied by several cabinet ministers and senior government officials.
He said that the region was quite honoured to be the home of such a renowned institution and that he was personally very elated for touring the campus and doing the inspection of numerous departments.
The vice president and his entourage were welcomed by the management of Amoud University, who informed them about the work activities of the university and its various departments.
While appreciating the much developments made by the institution, the VP urged Somalilanders at large to support educational institutions up to universities in the country such that they may fledge.
He said, “It is an honor for me to come to Amoud University and see with my own eyes the vast progress that is going on in Amoud National University, which the people of Awdal have been fortunate to have in Borama”.
He said that Amoud University is today a foremost reputable institution of higher learning.
