Hon Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi, the chairperson of opposition WADDANI party and other top officials met with UK Ambassador to Somalia and Amb. Ben Fender and head of Somaliland desk Mr. Stuwart Brown.
The opposition officials and the visiting UK envoy discussed matters pertaining to the upcoming parliamentary and local council elections, the current political situation in especially the recent events in Sanaag region. The continued harassment and unlawful detention of the WADDANI party representatives, the unconstitutional arrest of lawmakers and the members of the media.
Hon Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi “Irro” was during the meeting flanked by Mr. Abdikadir Jirde, MP, Mr. Hersi Ali Haji Hassan, Mr. Khadar Hussien, Mr. Jamal Jama, and Abdikadir Iidle.
