Somaliland The Ministry of Investment and Industrial Development MOIID engineered a bulk of Laws, Policies, and Acts to ease the investment initiatives in Somaliland.
Mr. Mohamed Osman Saed, Director General of the Ministry of Investment and Industrial Development, stated MOIID proposed and submitted the Public Private Partnership to the Cabinet of Ministers, and after throughout discussions and reviews the Cabinet expected to approve it in the coming weeks.
Public-private partnerships involve collaboration between a government agency and a private-sector company that can be used to finance, build, and operate projects, such as public transportation networks, parks, and convention centers. Financing a project through a public-private partnership can allow a project to be completed sooner or make it a possibility in the first place. This, however, will reduce the heavy from the government and shift will go to the quality of the government services such as health, education, and other life necessary sectors.
Somaliland government welcomes any kind and any form of partnership to the construction of the country in various sectors such as roads and bridges, airports, ports, railway infrastructure, hospitals, schools and social housing, agricultural production, development and promotion of industries and as well as marine infrastructure.
However, all PPP related issues will be coordinated by the MOIID and has prepared General Plans for the approach to various aspects, focusing on the expansion of the country’s economy.
MOIID advises all investors to take advantage of this opportunities and never hesitate to reach the MOIID personnel for procedural and further actions related to PPP and all investment related matters.
