H.E President Muse Bihi Abdi speaking on behalf of the government sends a message of condolences to the families, relatives, friends, and the people of the Republic of Somaliland, in the wake of a deadly road accident that claimed lives of seven persons and leaving four others critically injured.
The gruesome road accident involving a public bus and heavy load lorry took place between the towns of Lafa-ruug and Hamaas in Sahil region.
On the other hand, the President strongly urges owner’s private vehicles, operators of public transport service vehicles and motorist to obey traffic road safety regulations in order to safeguard lives and properties of fellow citizens.
The President further stressed that it was so sad and disappointing to hundreds of road traffic accidents occur across the country taking the lives of innocent commuters in Somaliland.
He further directed the ministry of transport and road authority, commissioners of police and traffic police to implement and introduce more measures that are stringent to reduce road traffic injuries and persecute offenders.
President Muse sends his heartfelt condolences to the families, relatives, friends of the victims of the gruesome road accident and wishes quick recovery for those injured. May Allah (SWT) bless their soul’s in his final abode. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the during this difficult time.
