President of the Republic of Somaliland Musa Bihi Abdi has appointed an executive entity who will be responsible to oversee the building of Berbera Corridor.
The construction of the highway Corridor is funded by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD).
President Bihi has sent an official letter dated 3rd June to Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) which was not allowed to see the mainstream media in Somaliland.
The six individuals tasked to oversee the building consists of experts in the field of engineering and others who will run the management of financials allocated for the highway.
President Bihi has informed the foreign minister about the nomination of the six officials who will be in charge of the Corridor.
The president has not cited the ministry of road and transport which is solely responsible for road constructions in the country.
The officials will be under the command of the office of the president of Somaliland.
According to Memorandum of Understanding signed between Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and the Somaliland government demanded the nomination of executive unity that will supervise the road construction.

The President of Somaliland has explicitly said that the executive unit compromising of six people will be under his command and their job descriptions as the president has detailed in the letter and mentioned in pages 4 and 5 of the (MOU).
The executive unit will be responsible for the following duties:-

- They will supervise the Berbera Corridor construction work on regular basis.
- They will approve of agreement submitted.
- They will supervise the constructions underway and offer technical advice on the changes of the road design and overcome constraints.
- They will oversee the quality of the equipment and the work in progress in regard to the contracting firm
