Police Chief Brigadier General Mohamed Aden Saqadi stated they will launch a complaint office, where the public could submit their grievances.
While speaking in ‘Police Friendship to Society’ program aired on HCTV on Friday, the police chief said “We are launching a public complaints office quite soon whereby the members of the public can contact the police, build mutual relationship and/or submit their complaints or give their suggestion” to improve police service to the nation.
He said that they would fix at all major central police stations in the six regions public suggestion mail-boxes in which all complaints and/or suggestions public are submitted. Such designated letters will specifically be collected, studied, evaluated and especially answered.
The Police Chief pledged that the contents of the messages will have their confidentiality observed to the hilt.
On the other hand, the police presented different kinds of illicit liquor, cannabis, small and big axes etc confiscated from apprehended criminals over the last two months in Hargeisa.
The Police Chief requested the members of the public to assist them in performing their duties and safeguard security for all.
