The PFM reform Coordination Unit in the Ministry of Finance Development has organized a three-day training on fundamental competencies and skills for 30 internal auditors from key public institutions including ministries and autonomous agencies, on April 06 – 08, 2021
The objective of the training was to familiarize internal auditors with the core principles and international standards for conducting professional internal audit practice.
Upgrading the technical competences and skills of the government internal auditors is a critical component of the Public Financial Management reform program (PFM) and seeks to achieve transparency and accountability in the management and use of public finance.
In his closing remarks, the Deputy Minister of Finance Hon. Muse Ibrahim Yusuf has encouraged the participants to apply the newly gained skills in their day-to-day work, to ensure achieving reform objectives in the management of public finance.
