The Commander of the National Army met with the Commanding General of Combined Joint Task Force–Horn of Africa.
Commander of the National Army Major General Nuh Ismail Tani held a meeting on Tuesday with the Commanding General of Combined Joint Task Force–Horn of Africa Major General Jami Shawley.
A delegation led by Commander Shawley who visited Berbera city was received and welcomed by the Commander of the National Army and accompanying senior officials.
Commander Nuh who was flanked by the Coast Guard Commander, and the Somaliland Ports Manager, toured the Berbera port with the US delegation visitors.
The two sides are said to have discussed the process of preparing the security cooperation between the two countries.
The US visit coincides with the recent Capital Hill move to pass the US-Somaliland Partnership Act which is currently awaiting the signature of the President of the United States awaiting enaction.
