Minister of Planning and National Development Mr. Awale Ibrahim. Shirwa, currently on a working tour in Nairobi, Kenya held a serious of meetings with United Nations, World Bank and the European Union officials.
The National Planning Minister note that during his recent trip met with representatives of the World Bank and the European Union and the German government owned Bank for development that assists African countries and Somaliland especially the Somaliland Development Fund that provides a single vehicle through which donors can support Somaliland’s development goals.
The minister, during the meetings with the various officials briefed on the country’s overall situation and the achievements in regard to the joint development projects funded by international partners in Somaliland.
In the course of these meetings, they discussed the completion of the Hargeisa water project, and the recovery efforts of those affected by the Impact of Sagar as well as key points, including the second phase of the Somaliland Development Fund..
