The Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries Development in collaboration with VSF Swiss has sent three teams to the districts under Marodi-Jeex region, where pastoralists who had migrated from far and wide areas with their livestock, are.
Dr. Filsan Abdillahi said the rescue was in response to a request from the nomads.
Dr. Mohamed Sheikh, who spoke on behalf of the VSF Swiss on collaborating the vaccination task with the Ministry of Livestock Vaccination, appreciated the work of the ministry’s staff.
Meanwhile, in other parts of the eastern regions, the Ministry of Livestock has started vaccinating work and both Togdher and Saraar Regions has dispatched teams that will work in veterinary medicine in their respective regions.
