Members of the Somaliland House of Representatives on Tuesday approved the revised Civil Service Law, No. 31/2020.
In a session chaired by the Speaker of the House, Hon. Bashe Mohamed Farah, the members of the Members of the Somaliland House of Representatives approved the amended Civil Service Law No. 31/2020.
Forty-three (43) members voted in favor, nine (9) against, one (1) abstained. The speaker did not vote.
Hon. Abdirahman Mohamed Jama (Abdirahman Xoog) MP said that this law is of great importance to the workers and the nation since the law protects the rights of civil servants, while defining the responsibilities of employers and workers, as this law is important for job safety and paves the way for the establishment of labor unions in the country
