Four persons perished while 10 other seriously injured on Friday in a tragic road accident that occurred Dacar Budhuq District, in Sahil region.
Col. Feisal Hesis, the spokesperson of Somaliland Police and commanding officer of traffic police while speaking to reporters at the police headquarters in Hargeisa confirmed the deaths of the four persons, two Somali landers and two foreigners of Bangladeshi origin.
Six Bangladeshi nationals and four Somalilanders were among those seriously injured in the horrific road accident.
The head of traffic police further stated that the public transport vehicle operated by “Bixin Transport Company” veered off the road and overturned when the driver was using his mobile phone.
Col. Feisal Hesis conveyed his condolences to those who lost loved ones and wished the injured quick recovery and at the same time urged members of the public to report to the police any driver endangering the lives of passengers or deemed to be recklessly driving.
