Somaliland’s National Committee for COVID-19 Preparedness and Response has launched on Sunday COVID-19 Secretariat & Coordination Center which will be used as a vehicle for COVID-19 data collection.
The Committee headed up by Somaliland’s Vice President Abdirahman Sayli’i has announced that the center will coordinate data collection for local, provincial and national levels.
The center will be linking the committee with Somaliland populace against the prevention of the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The committee has worried over lack of compliance pertaining to the guidelines provided by the committee to the populace.
The ministers of information, water resources, interior, religious and endowment affairs have reiterated that they are all concerned that the public is ignoring the directives aimed at preventing the spread of Covid-19 in Somaliland.
Somailand has confirmed that the pandemic has reached in her soil as the ministry of health has announced.
The information minister Suleiman Yusuf Ali has disclosed that at least 20 blood samples were sent to Nairobi for further laboratory tests on Covid-19.
He said that the government is anticipating the results and will share with the public.
