Hargeisa-Prof. Aden Haji Ali Ahmed, Somaliland Chief justice this week in his office received the visiting European Union Envoy to Somaliland and Somalia Amb. Nicolás Berlanga Martínez and his delegation.
Prof. Aden Haji Ali Ahmed, Somaliland Chief justice and European Union Envoy to Somaliland and Somalia Amb. Nicolás Berlanga Martínez discussed a wide range of issues among them:-
- To further strengthen cooperation between the Judiciary, Justice Ministry and the EU.
- The Chairman of the Supreme Court thanked the EU for its support to the judicial and judicial institutions as well as Somaliland in general.
- The chief justice urged the EU and the rest of the international community to disburse to Somaliland any deserved grants directly.
- They also discussed the upcoming elections and the role of the Constitutional Court.
