President H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi witnessed on Monday the 17th of October the swearing in of cabinet and deputy ministers, parastatal heads and their deputies who were recently appointed and confirmed by the parliament.
The oath of office was administered by the Chief Justice, who is the president of the Supreme Court, Hon. Adan Haji Ali Ahmed at the Presidency.
The Head of State then gave words of advice to the newly sworn in officials, wishing them well in their obligations while urging them to perform their duties diligently, effectively and serve the community with sincerity.
The Chief Justice likewise had words of encouragement to them advising to keep the trust that was placed on their hands.
The officials who were sworn in today include two ministers, four deputy ministers, two heads of independent institutions and their deputies are as follows.
Minister of Agriculture Development Hon. Abdiqadir Iman Warsame, Minister of Planning and National Development Hon. Dr. Ahmed Aden Buhane, Deputy Minister of Employment, Social and Family Affairs Hon. Abdimajid Ibrahim Muumin, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Awareness, Hon. Syed Hassan Habbane, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Development Fisheries, Hon. Mohamud Jama Warfaa, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Works, Lands and Housing, Hon. Mohamud Warsame Jama, Chairman of the Quality Assurance Agency, Mr. Mukhtar Mohamed Ali and his deputy, Mr. Hamse Abdi Ibrahim, Chairman of National Insurance Commission, Mr. Guleed Musa Galal and his deputy, Mr. Mohamed Hussein Ahmed.
