Dubai-The Commander of the Somaliland National Army, Brigadier General Nimcaan Yuusuf Osman, who is currently on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), held a meeting today with the Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Engineer Eisa Saif Mohammed Al Mazrouei. They discussed military cooperation between the two nations, Somaliland and the UAE.
During their meeting, the Commander of the Somaliland National Army and the Commander of the UAE Armed Forces also discussed how the UAE Armed Forces could support Somaliland in the development and modernization of its military. This includes assistance with military technology and overall advancement, which the Somaliland government aims to achieve for its National Army.
The meeting between Brigadier General Nimcaan Yuusuf Cismaan, Commander of the Somaliland National Army, and the Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, marks a significant step forward for the Somaliland National Army. It aligns with the broader goals and aspirations of the new Somaliland government to strengthen and modernize its military forces.
Brigadier General Nimcaan Yuusuf Cismaan, who has been in the UAE in recent days, is participating in a global exhibition showcasing defense technology and security cooperation. The event is being held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and will continue until February 23, 2025.
