Hargeisa-The Somali language Daily “Geeks Afrika” has through reliable sources confirmed that top Somaliland and Somalia held secret talks in the Djiboutian capital.
According to reliable sources speaking to “Geeska Afrka” confirmed a brief meeting between Hon Yassin Haji Mahmud Hiir “Fartoon” the Somaliland minister of foreign affairs and international affairs flanked by Dr. Edna Aden, Somaliland Charge de Affairs for talks with Somaliland and Mr. Abdullah Sheik Ismail MP , the Chairs the committee appointed by the President of Federal Republic Somalia for talks between the two countries .
The sources, there was no rock-solid outcome of the meeting was made public, except that it was agreed that the two sides shall resume the stalled between Hargeisa and Mogadishu. No date was set for the resumption of the talks.
Both Presidents Muse Bihi and Abdullahi Farmajo visited the President of the Republique de Djibouti in the month of September to discuss the prospects of the resumption of the talks as suggested by the President Ismail Omer Gulleh, both Presidents of Somaliland and Somalia gave they agreed to restart the stalled talks.
