The religious affairs minister of the republic of Somaliland is currently in Turkey on an official working visit. The minister, Mr. Sheikh Khalil Abdilahi Ahmed met with the head of Turkish Red Crescent,and the newly appointed Turkish envoy on Somalia-Somaliland dialogue.
The minister discussed with Turkish Red Crescent on supporting Somaliland in regard to humanitarian aid.
The minister also talked with envoy on being taking a neutral stance on the Turkish mediated talks between Somaliland and Somalia. The minister also met with Turkish counterpart, Dr. Ali Erbas and pledged that he will work with the development of religious affairs and endowment in Somaliland. Sheik Khalil also met with TIKA officials and discussed ways to increase projects implemented in Somaliland.
