Suspicion as President Uhuru Kenyatta sent Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed to the Republic of Somaliland to lead a delegation in a high profile meeting.
The outspoken Suna East lawmaker and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of elections led the delegation of affluent figures, in a diplomatic dialogue with Somaliland on Friday 3 July.
The Deputy-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Somaliland Liban Yousuf Osman through his Twitter handle page confirmed the meeting with team led by Junet Mohammed.
Osman also noted that the Kenyan delegation had an incredible one-day visit to the Republic Somaliland with main agenda of strengthening ties and cooperation between the two nations.
“It was my utmost pleasure to receive the delegation From the Republic of #Kenya led by Hon. @JunetMohamed. They had a wonderful one-day visit to the Republic Somaliland aimed to strengthen ties and cooperation of the two nations.” Osman posted
The ODM MP and number one fan and defender of the ODM party leader Raila Odinga has been witnessed elevating in political space and his influence in the ruling Jubilee government growing day by day since the famous handshake between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2018.
Junet has also grown within the ODM party, a thing that has made him get involved in almost all vital decisions the opposition leader makes, and now his recent visit to Somaliland through President Kenyatta’s instructions is a clear indication that Junet influenced the handshake partnership.
