The newly appointed Ethiopian representative to Somaliland has set foot in Hargeisa, the capital. Amb. Saed Abdilahi Jibril arrived at Egal airport on last Sunday.
Senior officials at the ministry of foreign affairs & international cooperation received the Ethiopian envoy upon arrival.
The Ethiopian envoy to Hargeisa will get down to business and will resume discharging his diplomatic duties. Amb. Saed is replacing his predecessor, the seasoned diplomatic amb. Shamsudin Ahmed Roble.
Having Shamsudin vacated the post for quite some time, the Ethiopian office in Hargeisa is up and running. Prior to Saed’s appointment as an Ethiopian representative to Somaliland, he was the deputy chancellor of the state-run Hargeisa university.
