Mogadishu – December 03 2014: The Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (SRCC) for Somalia, Ambassador Maman S. Sidikou, strongly condemns the barbaric Improvised Explosive Device (IED) car bomb by Al-Shabab earlier today in Mogadishu.
The SRCC extends his deepest condolences to the victims’ families, the Government and people of Somalia.
“We condemn today’s attack near the airport in Mogadishu. This attack shows the enmity and total disregard for life by Al-Shabaab who continue to simply kill innocent people,” Ambassador Sidikou said
The SRCC urges the people of Somalia and the international community living and working in Somalia to remain vigilant, and not to be deterred by these unruly terrorists whose main mission is to cause panic and create mistrust among the public.
